Help me give my students a plethora of color-printed animal resources to take them beyond the walls of our classroom as we read about, study, and classify different animals just as world-renowned zoologist Jane Goodall did!
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My third-grade students are as inquisitive as they come! They are a group of curious students that love to read and engage in meaningful conversations. They love to collaborate and learn something new from each other across many different topics.
For many of these students, our classroom is truly a haven that allows them to travel way beyond their impoverished surroundings simply by turning the pages of a book.
My third graders' thirst for knowledge is truly inspiring to witness. They eagerly look forward to their daily English Language Arts block as they leave behind their neighborhood and travel across the globe as zoologists! Unfortunately, our access to high-interest color printed materials is scarce.
My Project
During our new unit of study, and throughout the school year, a color printer will allow me to provide lessons in a more colorful and engaging manner as I share resources with my students each day.
This color printer will help me make engaging resources readily available to my budding zoologists by providing accurate pictures of all the unique and wonderful characteristics that can help us better observe and classify animals.
In addition, this color printer will also become an integral part of my classroom with printing, scanning, and copying materials daily.
