Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Inside the camping experience, we are learning and developing how to be survivors outside the natural habitat. Camping can teach students about the external affairs, such as socialization, partnership, brain storming, emotional abilities and survival skills. Learning that the same skills that are learned inside the classroom and/or even at home are different when you are outdoor living. Camping will help students understand the meaning of teamwork and togetherness, especially during center play. In center play, students get the opportunity to learn all the components of a camping experience; hiking on a trail, tents, and fishing.

As explorers, we are going to put our survival skills to the test in the classroom while being highly engaged and advancing our knowledge.

Working together to fight through adversity while putting up a tent and searching for bugs and rocks on the hiking trail. My students are well rounded and already explorers, by understanding the knowledge and structure behind camping will build survival and partnership skills. The ending goal and success that will help develop students mind, body and soul is to understand that all living is not just in the home behind buildings but also outside in the nature.
