This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are my children....

They come to school wanting to be loved and challenged to learn more than a worksheet could teach them.

These students have limited learning opportunities, so I attempt to bring as many diversified learning situations into the classroom as possible. They desire to learn to better themselves and enrich their families. The school attempts to make STEM- and project-based learning available to all students. I want to give them as many real-life experiences as possible.

My Project

We are learning about the life cycle of insects and how insects impact us. These supplies would allow the students to watch the stages of a butterfly to better understand how the life cycles of insects impact the world around us.

Observing first hand the life cycle of a butterfly, could change the students view of other's lives.

I desire to give my students as many hands on experiences as possible to help them better understand how the smallest of creatures can impact our environment and homes. The students will be using their scientist skills of observing and tracking data to know how the butterflies change through each stage.
