This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The second-grade students at my school are enthusiastic learners who are filled with curiosity. They are highly energetic and active learners.

As part of our second-grade informational reading unit, the students will learn about insects.

They will learn about insects and the impact insects have on the natural world. In addition students will learn about the ways that insects are helpful and harmful. They will learn how to distinguish the characteristics of insects. Also they will learn about and be able to explain the insect life cycles.

Having these additional books about insects will support the students' learning in second grade. It will allow them to have access to various books on this topic to read independently or with a partner.
