Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We have an opportunity to create a science lab with interactive inquiry-based projects. We dream of gardens inside and outside that would allow each grade level to create investigations with plants of all kinds. We will use our school as place-based learning in our courtyard to also grow plants and harvest edible plants. Students learn best when they are an integral part of their learning.

An interactive science lab will provide hands-on real-life experiences to our students.

Each grade level will be able to design and care for their own projects involving plants, aquaponics, fish, etc. Having a science lab that is equipped with opportunities for exploration will also provide connections to reading, writing, social studies and math.
