Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are amazing five-year-olds who attend a Title I school and are a part of a dual language program where they are learning English and Spanish as part of their instruction. More than 90% of my students come from low income families. As their teacher, this means that I need to provide as much emotional support as well as learning tools while they are at school with me.

I want to provide my students with more technology!

Having iPads in our classroom will help bring my students an abundance of opportunities!

The iPads will be used in the classroom to help in scientific discovery and research!

Kindergartners have inquiring little minds and what better way than to have the chance to learn through the use of technology!

My Project

I’m no ordinary teacher, and with that being said, I like to give students time for discovery and inquiry! My students will use the iPads to research a variety of topics being studied as they learn to navigate the web. They will be able to practice math facts, do science, listen to reading, record themselves, and use apps such as doink. This new generation is going to change the world and what better way than by incorporating the use of technology as early as in Kindergarten? This project will definitely give my inquisitive students the opportunity to be world changers!
