My Project
When we think of sensory input, we think of having five senses: sight, smell, hearing, taste, and touch. Children in my class crave sensory in various ways. They can only learn once their sensory needs have been met. This is my job to find out what makes my students feel comfortable in my classroom each day. The quality and quantity of sensory needed varies for each child everyday.
Experimenting with sensory sand, Interlocking gears and plastic chain links will provide my students for their eyes, ears and hands.
Each day every child will choose a sensory sand activity using outer space, tractors and farms to gain interest. Interlocking gears and chain links will help my students with sensory and coordination.
