My students need 30 books that emphasize art production skills through masterpieces created by various artists from different backgrounds and cultures.
This project expired on April 19, 2012.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
"A picture is worth a thousand words," Napoleon Bonaparte said, and I truly want my students to have every opportunity to find out what that phrase means. These books would be an valuable resource to me and my students in all future lessons and units taught in my Art Class.
I have the most wonderful school-full of students!
I see them all and they appreciate every Art lesson I teach. The school has a high poverty rate and my students miss many experiences. I try my best to give them special art lessons and memories they will remember and love forever. The more innovative the lesson, the better they remember what they are taught.
My students will gain valuable knowledge about artists and art history with these books. The books will also encourage my students to not only learn about art history, but to develop aesthetic perception and the ability to evaluate different art forms. Because these resources contain step-by-step procedures, and wonderful images of masterpieces; they will be extremely valuable and useful to me as an Art Educator. Vocabulary is also a strong component of this series of books which will support and strengthen writing in my art classroom.
This series of books is rated, "Teacher's Choice A+" and after doing research, I am sure this series will be a wonderful asset to my Art Curriculum.
I am certain I will be able to build successful units with these books as a resource. I want to expose my students to well-known Artists, Art Periods, and various Art Styles. With these books, I will be able to teach images my students would otherwise not be able to study.
