This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach in low income school in Bushwick NY. I work in a 5th grade inclusion class and I’m the special education teacher. My co-teacher and I will have 30 students next year. It is a challenge for our students to get the necessary supplies in order to make learning as successful as possible.
In 5th grade we do a lot of research based projects and it would mean so much to us to have a printer in the classroom.
Help us make our learning come in color.
My Project
We are always doing research projects in our class and having a printer accessible in class would make our learning experiences even better.
A lot of our students do not have access to printers at home or are not able to get the library to print.
In 5th grade we are always doing various research projects and it would really be great for the students to have the opportunity to print right in class. Last year, some students felt disappointed because not everyone had the opportunity to print because they didn’t have a place to print.
