This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

What I love about my students is their quest to learn and experience new things. They are passionate, intelligent, and are very energetic. Each day as we tackle objectives, they are alert and ready to engage. They constantly work together to solve day to day problems. They encourage and motivate each other to do their best. They are a phenomenal group of kids with many ideas. With this class everyday is a new adventure. I am honored to teach this renown group of students.

My Project

Incorporating tablets in my classroom will move my students into the 21 century. No longer will my students be confided to one area but it will give them mobility. It will give them the flexibility to enjoy reading in various places within the classroom. Having these tablets will make reading more enjoyable. It will give them an opportunity to explore various genres. The tablets will also help to develop better listening skills, which will ultimately help them to become good communicators. My goal is to provide my students with the necessary tools needed to become fluent career ready, college ready citizens. I believe this goal can be met by creating a 21st century learning environment.
