This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Our students are incredibly hard working. They are dedicated to developing the best program that they can, and constantly performing to an exceptional level. These students are always finding ways to challenge themselves, and to challenge me; I wouldn't have it any other way. The students all come from various backgrounds, and manage to show a deep level of understanding and compassion towards each other. This helps them to be able to create an incredibly high level product with their music making.

Our students are so hard working and deserve to have a program that they can really develop and flourish as musicians.

My Project

The Sound Innovation method books that I am requesting are an excellent resource for the students to have in the orchestra classroom. These books have a wide variety of exercises that work on specific techniques and skills. Each of these skills is essential to growing as an individual musician and as an ensemble.

The Sound Innovation books have great sequencing and really help to teach students the importance of proper technique and tone.

These books will be used consistently to help students grow as musicians and are an invaluable resource for our classroom. The techniques learned will bring their playing to the next level!
