Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Sitting on bottoms is overrated. Kids learn from doing, not just watching and listening! My students are very active, and it is hard for them to sit still and just listen to lessons. When lessons are delivered through games and fun activities they love it, and learn much, much more!
My classroom is full of active, happy, smiling Kindergarten students at a school located in a city in Northern California.
I have 8 boys, and 16 girls. They are all precious and beautiful, with the potential to excel in academics, graduate from college, and have very successful careers.
The STEM bundle provides all the level appropriate tools I will need to integrate STEM into my curriculum & help my students explore important concepts hands on! From a kit that helps kids create their very own chain reaction courses to innovative sets that introduce kids to the design process and encourage problem solving through beloved fairy tales!
Little Math Readers are the perfect way to blend math and literacy! Each book focuses on a key math concept and has super simple text for easy reading! Letter Builders, building set is a fun, hands-on way to help children master the lines & curves that form uppercase letters! The Giant Sand Timer provides a highly visual way to measure 10 minutes of time!
My Project
My students will count sweet treats at a candy store, identify simple shapes in everyday objects, add up frogs on a lily pad and more, with 40 different activities aligned to every Common Core State Standard for kindergarten math! This center comes with 40 activity cards that are each aligned to a specific math learning standard, and a list that shows each activity and the Common Core standard it targets. Having this fun center will make sure my students are working on everything they need to learn in math and have fun at the same time!
My students will sharpen critical writing skills all year long with these standards-based writing exercises! The requested activity-packed workbook contains 40 kindergarten leveled reproducible activities to help my students master a variety of concepts like sentence structure, comprehension, grammar, spelling & more! Plus, it comes with an answer key & weekly assessments to help measure each of my students' progress.
Donations to this project will enhance our active learning classroom by providing the resources needed to allow students to choose active activities and to learn academic skills.
