This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are a wonderful and diverse group of caring and eager learners. Although my classroom children face many challenges, they are always happy to be at school and treat each other with the utmost respect. I am proud to be their teacher and believe that the future of the world is in my classroom. We work on social-emotional issues along with our math, literacy, science, and social studies topics because the overall growth of my students is important and I believe that children learn best when all needs are met.

My Project

We have a wonderful diverse group of students in our classroom. We love to work together and learn from each other. If we were to be so fortunate to be fully funded for these these tables it would be so much better for us to collaborate than always having to sit at the individual mismatched desks we currently have.

Collaboration is so important and such a large part of our learning to be productive and effective in today's world.

We would use the tables to form groups based on skill and interests and for intervention purposes. One of the tables has a very innovative dry erase top so students can work together to brainstorm ideas, write research reports and stories, create graphic organizers, and work on math problems without the risk of making mistakes because mistakes and revisions are so easily erased! The dry erase top table is also so eco-smart because it will save us so much from constantly using up paper!

It would mean so much for us to have these tables in our caring classroom. The community would be a more collaborative and friendly one with your help! Thank you so much for taking the time to read our project.
