My Project

Our Innovation Lab opened pre-pandemic and for 18 months, we were unable to bring classes to the space. Fast forward to today and we're looking to integrate the space into our curriculum we want to challenge students to be creative problem solvers using the design process along the way. We have 3D printers and a laser cutter, but what we are missing is the ability to have students create with fabric or other materials.

We are looking to add sewing and embroidery to our space to allow students more tools that develop skills (like measuring) and continue to open the creativity of students.

With the support of this project and a goal of a funded project, students will be introduced to a new trade skill and given one more tool as students develop products of understanding not only in the Innovation Lab but in any of their classes.
