My students need iPad stands to record their thinking process and completed projects. They will then share these with other students and parents via portfolio sites. The Bloxels and Osmos will support design and logic.
Creative, imaginative, enthusiastic, and inquisitive are only a few words that describe my second grade students.
They have a love of learning, they challenge themselves daily and they encourage growth in each other, all while developing grit.
I teach at a Title I school with nearly 70% of my students on free and reduced lunch. This wonderfully diverse group comes to me each day with a variety of needs, backgrounds and experiences.
I am fortunate to be able to spend two years with my students as a first/second grade looping teacher. I get to see amazing growth from each and every one of them, academically, socially and behaviorally.
My Project
As my students dig deeper into the world of innovation and technology, they have the desire to record their thinking and learning process, as well as the end product. The iPad stands will help in clarity, as well as allow my students to apply a more hands on presentation of work.
My students have an incredible sense of pride when they are able share their learning with their peers and parents.
The second graders in my class love working with a variety of tools that encourage creativity, innovation and problem solving. They are ready to take the next challenge and display their learning, and at the same time, teach others.
Using Bloxels and Osmos in the classroom will encourage a greater understanding of important topics like design and logic. They will be able to use coding to display their knowledge in science, math, reading and more, through the games they create.
