Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In our 7th and 8th grade STEM Creativity Lab/Makerspace/Discovery class, students engage in hands-on learning that fosters problem-solving, critical thinking, and innovation. Whether they are designing prototypes, building structures, or exploring electronics, having access to the right tools is essential for their success.
To improve organization and efficiency, we need small toolboxes for each table group these toolboxes, will allow students to store and manage their essential tools for daily activities, keeping everything organized and accounted for.
By reducing lost items and ensuring materials are readily available, students can focus on creativity and collaboration rather than searching for supplies.
Beyond organization, these toolboxes will also provide crucial support for students with disabilities. A well-structured workspace helps reduce sensory overload, making it easier for students with ADHD, autism, or sensory processing challenges to engage in learning. Students with mobility or fine motor difficulties will benefit from having tools within easy reach. Additionally, toolboxes encourage independence, establish predictable routines, and promote teamwork, ensuring that every student can fully participate in STEM activities.
By equipping each group with a dedicated toolbox, students will develop responsibility, teamwork, and organizational skills—essential qualities for future engineers, designers, and innovators. Your support will help create a structured, inclusive, and efficient learning environment where all students can thrive and bring their ideas to life!
