My Students

My students are creative, thoughtful and full of questions! They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions! They come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically. Truly, they are my inspiration!

My Project

In a Title I school, technology is hard to come by. At our school, we have one cart of chromebooks. We only have about 20 in total, for the whole grade . Each class can use for one period a week. This one period a week may be the only time my students get to use any type of technology at all, most don't have computers at home. With these iPad's, I hope to give a different small group of students the opportunity to use technology as a teaching tool. This will especially support my ESL & Special Education students.

Students come alive when given the opportunity to learn using technology.

They become engaged in learning and are excited at the thought of learning new skills through technology. I plan to use these iPads to reinforce skills that we are learning in math, reading and even writing. They will be used to help students who are struggling to give them a different approach to learning and to give some students more of a challenge. The iPads will be used during math and literacy instruction, as well as an assessment tool.

In a world where technology is a necessity, I would like to provide my students with this tool for success.
