Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This year I am a second year teacher and suddenly given the opportunity to teach 4th grade at my current school. Last year, I taught 5th grade and I now need to update my class library and other tools in the classroom to best adhere to my new group of kids this school year.

Teaching in a Title 1 school comes with many diverse groups of kids, who are resilient!

These students are hard workers, and do their best each day. Often times we do not have all the classroom materials to help foster literacy growth.

With your help I will be providing a book to every child at the start of the year to begin implementing healthy daily reading habits. Students will have access to reading logs, and literacy folders for centers.

All of these materials including pencils, notebooks, and pocket charts will help in the classroom, centers, and even at home for further literacy practice.
