Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My Biology Inclusion classes are composed of curious, enthusiastic, and eager 9th graders. The majority of our inclusion students are bi-lingual and come from a diverse array of backgrounds. Consequently, the methods in which they learn best are also just as diverse. That is why it is up to me to figure out which learning techniques suit them best!
My goal is to incorporate a larger variety of activities and resources into our Biology lessons.
Having access to great lessons every day will help them learn biology. Not every student will become a scientist, but every student should be able to become scientifically literate!
My Project
The ink supplies that I am requesting will help enhance the print-rich parts of my science classroom. Our classroom printer is where my students can print out the necessary materials for our sciences lessons and investigations.
With the addition of new ink for our printer, students can continue printing out projects, working in stations, and observing science images accurately.
Having more ink will also help provide students with printed versions of our assessments (since many still prefer a printed test over a digital one on the Chromebook). Even in a digital world, the gift of ink is still an invaluable tool for my students and the science classroom.
