Ink: Where Our Stories Begin

Help me give my students the ability to see themselves as authors and their work in print!

FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Scott's classroom raised $195

This project is fully funded

My Project

I am writing to request a color printer and ink for my classroom.  My multilingual students are currently experiencing remarkable growth in their approach to writing.  They have moved from apprehension to enthusiasm, embracing the entire writing process from brainstorming and drafting to editing and rewriting.  It's been exciting to witness their growth and engagement.

This year, my students have tackled topics they are passionate about, including the role of service dogs, the impact of SeaWorld on animal welfare, and personal narratives about their siblings.  Through their writing, they are developing essential storytelling skills and sharing their unique perspectives and voices

While I highly value traditional pen-to-paper writing, I recognize the increasing importance of digital literacy.  In today's educational landscape, typing, publishing, and sharing written work digitally are crucial skills for students to develop.  A color printer would allow my students to bring their written work to life, creating visually engaging and shareable pieces.  Seeing their work in print, especially in color, will further motivate and empower these young authors.  It will also allow us to create classroom displays, share work with families, and even potentially publish student work online.

Having access to a color printer and ink would significantly enhance my students' learning experience and further cultivate their love of writing. Thank you for considering this request.  I am confident that this investment would greatly benefit my students and their continued growth as writers.
