This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am a special education teacher in an Integrated Co-Teaching classroom and we work with students who have individualized education plans and students who do not. Many of our students do not have enough access to technology and we are always looking to provide them with more.
We are a class filled with different learners who are always looking to help one another.
They are all sweet and treat one another with great respect and kindness. We are constantly looking into how to incorporate more technology into our classroom. Our job is to provide students with the skills and strategies they need in order to find success, whether they are in special education or general education.
My Project
I am requesting two toner cartridges and a small classroom laminator in order to provide better resources and activities for my students. As a second grade teacher, it can be very difficult to provide students with such materials without the appropriate resources. With these resources, I will be able to create classroom centers that can be saved, tools and support for my students with disabilities, and easily provide differentiated activities for my different learners.
My students will benefit from these supports and will find success in all subject areas.
Due to budget cuts, we are unable to provide toner for our printers. As an educator, it is important to have toner for our printers in order to provide materials and support to our students. A small classroom laminator will allow for us to save and preserve different classroom materials and projects the students are working on.
