Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach deaf and hard-of-hearing students, students with learning disabilities, and English Language Learners in a high-poverty, Title One school. All of our students receive free breakfast and lunch everyday. They face many challenges in their lives, including learning the basics of reading, writing and math.
My students have a lot to overcome, but they are rising to the challenge.
Once my students realize they can learn, their learning takes off and the possibilities are endless! As a teacher, it is so rewarding to see students who once thought they can't, now realize they can, and it is my joy to guide them towards that realization.
My Project
We are in need of ink for our HP Envy classroom printer. This project will supply ink so that students can print their digital work and so that we can print classroom displays.
Seeing is believing and this is extra-true for students who are deaf and hard of hearing.
Much of our work is done online, but students still like to see their work in print. This fosters pride in their work, and livens our classroom with displays.
By providing my students with ink for our printer, we will see learning come alive. Thank you in advance for making ink for our printer a reality; seeing truly is believing.
