Our school orders them, but budgets are being cut and we are only using more and more ink for our students.
Yes, this is a technological day and age, but my students work best with hands on colored activities. Literally almost every activity requires a 1:1 hands on activity, which uses our printers! The students are also a lot more receptive to working with colored pictures/books/activities and developmentally it is more appropriate for them to have colored items.
Also, we print IEPs, progress reports, and other special education documents directly from our classroom printers, so we use a lot of ink!
