How can we print without any ink? I currently teach middle school in a computer lab setting. You can only imagine the amount of ink that we run through. Teaching computers is a lot of fun, especially for 140 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. This year's Teachers Choice money went down from $250 to $150.
My students look forward to computer class, because it is a time for them to express themselves.
The students often get upset when I tell them that we have no more ink left in the computer and I am unable to print out their work. I am a huge fan of printing students projects, and hanging them up on display for all to see. The students also love when they see their work hanging up in the classroom. It gives them a sense of achievement. I also keep a portfolio on each student, which holds their projects. My students are allowed to take their portfolio home with them on the last day of school. During parent-teacher conferences, I show my students' parents their work.
My Project
What good is a printer without any ink? The obstacle that my students are facing is that we do not have ink for our printer. My students look forward to computer class, being that many families cannot afford a computer in their homes. I try my absolute hardest to keep up with the needs of my 140 students. I want to make sure that each and every individual is experiencing the knowledge and insight that they need for the future. Technology is a crucial part of our lives, and sooner or later it is going to take over a great amount of our daily lives, as if it doesn't already.
YOU can be a part of our next assignment.
It would be greatly appreciated, and you will meet the needs of 140 students. You will make a difference in a NYC public school by donating to this project. Thank you!
