My Students
Pre-K for All is a new program within the New York City Department of Education that provides all four year olds with full day quality education. Pre-K for All gives children stronger reading and math skills.
My site is a Pre-K Center exclusively dedicated to pre-k students.
We are located in Brooklyn and have a diverse population.
We have a center based learning model. The students learn by engaging in purposeful play while teachers engage the students in meaningful conversations.
In my program we like to provide lessons that are interactive so the children can learn by doing.
My Project
Thanks to generous donation we received from DonorsChoose.org my classroom has a color printer and photo printer. We use the color printer to print and laminate learning activities and to add pictures to our classroom charts and graphs. We capture our learning by taking photographs and posting them in our classroom and on our learning displays.
Our ink and photo paper supply is low.
We need to replenish these resources so we can continue to use our generously provided printers.
The students love to see their photographs instantly. At the end of the learning units students get to take them home and share their experiences with their families. Adding pictures to our classroom charts and graphs help students use them a reference.
