My Students

My students come from a low-income area and low socioeconomic backgrounds. One hundred percent qualify for free breakfast and lunch. We lack many everyday school supplies, and many of the parents cannot afford to buy their children pencils, folders, and other essential supplies for school.

Many of my students come from low-income households.

Eighty-five percent of the students are English Language Learners, so many do not receive much help at home due to language. The teachers at our school are mentors to the children. We want all our students to succeed. The school provides a caring and warm environment to learn.

My Project

I am requesting ink cartridges for the printer. Having the requested ink will allow students to share their work. After the students finish revising a writing assignment, they will be able to type their stories on the computer and print the stories out to display in our classroom. They will also be able to print their work and display it in the hallway of the school so visitors can see their writing. We also use the printer to print our pictures out and display them in our classroom. Please help my students to become more creative with their writing and motivate them to want to write more. The students will be able to print their stories, research information, and classroom photos. Also as their teacher, it would be so nice to print their grades, parent notes and other important notes for my students and their parents.
