This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach fifth graders that belong to different backgrounds and ethnicities in San Jose, California. My students are enthusiastic, inquisitive, and inquiring learners who love to come to school each day. They are remarkably inspired to learn and do their best in school.
I teach at an exceptional, diverse, and distinctive school in California where more than 71% of students receive free or reduced-price lunch.
My students speak many different languages like Spanish, Vietnamese, Greek, Tagalog or Dutch at home. We always celebrate the things that make us different, and the things that make us the same. This wonderful class is a family at school.
My Project
Each of my students come with glee to learn and become inventive in class. One great evidence is that my attendance is always perfect. My main goal for this project is to ask for two ink cartridges for our printer. Sometimes I need to print a lot of copies in class and ink becomes an essential tool this time. I am teaching matter and soon body systems, for example, and my students request some illustrations, pieces of reading, or graphs to apply everything we have been discussing in class. I have a lot of visual learners in my classroom and they assimilate knowledge very well when they connect visuals with lessons that are taught. I am also adding some pens because some students are ready to switch from pencil to ink.
