My Project
The students at our school are becoming keen observers of the natural world around them, and are learning to draw what they see. Almost every week, students are taken on huakaʻi (field trip) to discover more about the area surrounding our school, including Kīlauea Volcano, Punaluʻu, and so much more.
These notebooks will give students a place to keep track of their kilo observations of plants and the environment throughout the school year and document how it changes over time.
With the Posca pens, students will customize the covers of the books. With the drawing pencils, sharpeners and high quality colored pencils, they will be able to take those observations to another level, adding details and making each page a work of art.
