My students are fun-loving, eager learners! They come to class everyday ready for a new adventure! My class is a blended VPK class with 7 ESE (Exceptional Students Education) and 11 VPK (Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten) students who have a variety of learning needs.
The best part of teaching VPK is seeing the excitement on their faces when they realize that they have mastered a new skill!
The students in my class learn best from hands on, exciting and engaging experiences daily!
My Project
In VPK, my students learn best when items are printed in brightly colored ink. We are in need of a printer and colored ink. I make a lot of fun, hands on centers that require colored pictures in order to maintain my students' attention. This will save me time because I currently color all of my pictures. I also create anchor charts with my students by using colorful printed pictures to support their learning. They refer to these charts during center time and throughout the day as needed! My students learn best when from hands-on, engaging activities!
