This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My third graders attend a public school in an urban district. It is a Title I school, and 100% of the students qualify for a free or reduced-price lunch. Coming from an urban district and a Title I school, unfortunately, my students do not have as many supplies and opportunities as students in the surrounding districts.
This year, I have 25 inquisitive and eager students, many of whom are not on grade level.
They include SPED, English Language Learners, and LTSS students, but they are always ready to learn. My students are full of energy and their creativity shines through in all of the work that they do. They soak up everything you put out.
My goal is to make their VIRTUAL school experience meaningful and fun while also setting high expectations and providing a safe, loving environment for all of my students, no matter their circumstances. Your donations mean more than you will ever fully understand!

In the past, we were constantly using the printer daily for multiple uses.
We used it for important weekly newsletters, notes to parents, classwork, homework, and projects for our students. Having a printer in the classroom was very important.
Now with the Covid-19 pandemic, we are engaging in distance learning. It is still important that my students which consist of a high ELL, LTSS population, and a visually impaired (enlarged font) student it is vital that they get the necessary visual clues and tangible examples sent to them. Printer ink at home allows me to provide students with materials that enhance their learning and allows them practice and reference on a daily basis.
It is important that students have access to different learning materials that sometimes cannot be provided to them from a book or computer screen. The ink and paper will allow me to produce these materials and send them to my students. It is my wish to provide my students with everything and anything that will enhance their learning.
