Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students live in an impoverished area of South Los Angeles. All of my students come from low-income families. We are a Title I school where one hundred percent of our students receive free meals. My students always try their best at everything and anything despite the challenges that they face in their daily lives.
They are already not expected to have it as easy as others, but we learn that with hard work and consistency, they can be "unique" or different from the rest.
My students are so eager to learn that it makes coming to work easy!
My Project
The majority of my students are visual learners; therefore, I am asking for printer ink cartridges to print pictures in color which will make their learning more realistic and help develop their language skills and vocabulary. The ink will be used to print awards and activities. It will be used for all curriculum. It will provide activities for the students who need a challenge and students who may be struggling. Furthermore, after the students finish a revised writing assignment, they will be able to type their stories on the computer and print the stories out to display in our classroom and in the hallway in the school so visitors can see their writings.
Please help my students to become more creative with their writing and motivate them to want to write more.
