This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are fun, lively and excited to learn about world history. They come from primarily immigrant families and for some, will be the first people in their families to graduate high school, go to college and graduate.
My students always have smiles on their faces and want so much to be successful and make their families proud.
It is inspiring to work with them every day. I love their spirit and energy- it keeps me excited and inspired to be their teacher!
My Project
Our color printer has helped show us the world in so many ways. Students will use the ink to print maps, pictures, and see the different inventions from cultures we learn about in school. They can see terrace farming in Peru, the first compass from China, and the intricacies of the Silk Road across the Mediterranean and Asia. Students use these to help understand the many connections between history and culture, and truly focus on the impacts of globalization in the modern world. They use this knowledge to become more informed citizens of the world and work to make it a wonderful place to live.
