The students who take my engineering and robotics classes are a part of a large, urban school and come from many different cultural, ethnic, and economic backgrounds. However, these pieces of their identities do not define them.
The students who take my classes are curious, creative, and in general, they are thinkers.
They come in every day willing to learn and be challenged. They are future engineers and scientists, and I want to help start them off on the right foot.
My Project
My engineering students work to develop skills that they can apply to their future careers. These skills include developing solutions through the engineering design process, creating Computer Aided Design (CAD) drawings, and developing portfolios to share with their classmates and industry professionals in our area.
It is incredibly valuable for my students to be able to communicate in a professional way as they share their creative solutions through CAD drawings and project portfolios.
Allowing my students to create on our class computers and have the ability to print in color will allow my students to practice professionalism as they share their creativity.
