Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are eager to succeed in life. One way to ensure success is to provide the students with tools that will enable them to succeed. My students come from homes where they are first generation American citizens and homes where they will become first generation college graduates.
Being part of the American dream is one that appears to be out of reach but is actually within reach when students are provided the latest tools to use in their education.
Their families work hard to make ends meet. Despite the challenges their families face, my students aim to be successful in all that they do. Unfortunately, a new challenge facing their lives is that concerning remote learning. As they complete work via the computer and sent through emails, it is essential that teachers print out their work to add to their portfolios.
My Project
Common Core Standards require our students to research information across different areas and present it in the form of reports and displays. We are requesting an ample supply of ink cartridges for the classroom HP OfficeJet Printer which will allow the students to print their reports in class and use color to create effective displays.
The HP black and color cartridges will be used throughout the year by all my students to print their reports and create appealing displays using different color ink.
When the students print out their work, they will be completing assignments and projects that will enable them to gather information independently and present them to their peers and other teachers.
And in this time of remote learning, the ink will make it possible that student work emailed is printed for placement in portfolios.
