Infusing Art with Marine Science!

Help me give my students art supplies for block printing in marine science class!

My Project

I teach marine science at my high school and would like to add a classroom set of block printing supplies to my classroom. I have found various ways to include art in my teaching and this would be a great addition.

Many of my marine science students are artists at heart.

Giving my students the opportunity to understand the ocean through a creative lens will give the subject more meaning as well as a souvenir for them to bring home or gift to someone else.

My students will use these block printing supplies to create a visual representation of what they are learning in the classroom. This could be anything from a specific marine organism, to a type of marine ecosystem or major issue/solution in the marine science field. This activity could easily be paired with many of our units and discussions.
