Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Is there a lesson in your childhood that you still remember vividly? It's usually the science lessons (or dissections) that spark that creativity within us. It's within these science lessons that inspire our students of today to become the doctors of tomorrow.
My students range from every facet of the globe.
It's amazing to see how many countries are represented in my class. I can only imagine that these students have the desire to travel the world and make a difference when their time comes. My students attend a school that has a technology focus, in addition to making the curriculum relevant to everyday life.
My Project
My class is a group of kids that have a lot of curiosity, and it's my responsibility to guide that curiosity into something that will revolutionize the world. Utilizing the resources of the digital microscopes and the pre-filled slides will only be the tip of the iceberg to cater into their investigation of science. The leap motion will allow my student to interact with the dissection of frogs with the use of only their hand motion signals. Not only will they learn the anatomy of the frog, but also participate in the newest form of technology created just this year.
This project is important because it will change the lives of my students in a few ways.
First, they will learn the importance of observing the smallest details in life through using a microscope. Next, they will partake in the newest form of hand-motion technology that will only leave them hungry for more knowledge. Most importantly, they will be inspired through the source of life and the progress of technology. My hopes is that they will use these resources as a scaffold of inspiration.
