This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our students are bright, creative thinkers who love engaging with colorful, hands-on projects. They thrive in spaces where imagination is encouraged and learning feels like play. Our classroom is often transformed into immersive environments to bring our projects to life, encouraging student collaboration and joyful expression.

We're planning a Candyland Celebration—a whimsical, interactive event that will bring joy to our entire school community.

As a central piece of this event, we're hoping to bring in a large inflatable pink cart as a creative and fun decoration that also serves as a hands-on interaction point for our students.

The pink color represents our event hosts, the Belgian Boys, who will be sponsoring a delightful breakfast for our kids. The cart will be a cheerful, eye-catching centerpiece where students can gather, engage, and feel the magic of our Candyland theme.

To make it even more special, our students will use our classroom’s Cricut machine to design and cut custom vinyl letters and shapes. They’ll decorate the cart themselves, adding personalized messages and artwork, learning valuable skills in design and teamwork in the process.

This project combines creative arts, collaboration, and event planning in a way that excites students and gives them a sense of ownership over a shared community experience. By allowing kids to design and decorate the cart themselves, we're empowering them to take pride in their creativity and see how their ideas can bring joy to others. Every child deserves moments of magic in school, and this pink cart will be a bright, sweet symbol of celebration, learning, and fun.
