Fourth graders rock! They are learning so many new things, becoming more engaged, and making those deeper connections with their curriculum. Inquiry-based learning and hands-on activities are what's going on with the fourth graders in this classroom. They are eager to learn and love learning with those hands-on experiences.
I teach two sections of fourth graders, I have them both for math and science.
Each group is unique in the way they learn. Using all types of different manipulatives and seating options in class will help us become better thinkers.
My Project
This past year I was able to purchase an iPad with some school money I was allotted. I have come to quickly realize that I need the keyboard to help with student learning and communication.
Each day I use my iPad to cast to my smart board.
I am finding it difficult to quickly type the information that my students needs to see. It would help me out tremendously and help the students from losing focus so quickly if I could get the keyboard to type with. I also use the iPad to send messages on email to my students and their parents. A keyboard would save me a lot of time.
