Our elementary school is a diverse school in an urban community that serves students from many backgrounds. Each child brings with him or her unique strengths and needs. They are inquisitive and enthusiastic, and come to school ready to learn every day!
Third grade is a pivotal year in learning, as reading, writing, and mathematics become more complex.
To meet the varied needs of students and to thrive as 21st century learners, access to technology is critical for student success.
My Project
In our classroom, there are limited technology resources for students. Technology affords students the opportunity to learn about the world around them, to access adapted curricular resources, and to share what they learned with others near and far. In the current pandemic, access to technology is even more critical, as it is a means of delivery of lessons when social distancing and lockdowns necessitate changes to small group instruction.
Your donation of two Apple iPads will give my students access to the world at their fingertips.
We can explore differentiated content in reading and math, and students can research, learn, and demonstrate their understanding of content in science and social studies with a few taps on the screen. By having iPads in our classroom, students will have access to these materials daily, and will have the opportunity to seamlessly integrate technology into their learning every day. Additionally, the cases for these iPads are durable and easy to sanitize, which will enable students to safely use these tools during in-person, socially distant learning.
Thank you so much for your support of students and for helping them succeed!
