My Students

My team teacher and I share a classroom with around 50 wonderful third and fourth graders. We are a charter school in Northern Michigan, with an emphasis on character education as well as academics. We work in small groups for center-based learning.

We have a strong emphasis on students working in a safe and loving learning environment.

As a result, we are creating a true family environment at school. Our goal is for students to see school as a place where they are comfortable to take risks with their learning and feel great successes.

My Project

My students are dedicated and hard workers. Why not have a classroom that reflects that?

With this industrial chic classroom theme, my students hard core work ethic will be reflected all around them.

This simple decor will be enough to create excitement in the classroom, but not enough to be distracting to some of my learners. What a perfect theme!

The decor is not the only industrial chic aspect of the classroom. These stools not only compliment the decor, they are very useful in the room. Many students choose the option of sitting on a stool rather than a traditional classroom chair.
