Indoor Recess Fun!

My Project

The students in my classroom work hard every day! They strive to make their brains a little bit stronger than they were the day before. From math and science to reading and writing, they continue to amaze me with their daily dedication and perseverance. As their teacher, it is my job to ensure that my classroom has the resources to continue to motivate, foster, and support their growth.

However, if I was being honest, I think majority of them will say that recess is their favorite part of the day!

Most of the time recess is held outside. The students run, play, and, most importantly, socialize! This socialization is key to their social and emotional development. However, when recess is moved inside due to uncontrollable circumstances, their opportunity to socialize is overtaken with their desire to explore on their iPads.

By getting some new indoor recess tools, my hope is to keep the iPads placed away. Allowing the students options such as card games, magnetic building blocks, and LEGO provides them the opportunity to work together and socialize while having some indoor recess fun!
