This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We are a school in an urban neighborhood. Teaching students about plants, indoor gardening, and urban gardening is a big part of what we do every year. I want students to learn the importance of plants, but also the different ways that plants can be grow, especially in an urban environment. This project will allow students to learn about hydroponics. Students are always amazed to learn that plants do not just grow in the ground. I know that this hydroponics set up will be enjoyed by the entire school and I am hoping to use it to grow items that students can pick and take home too!
