My students need instructional materials on many different levels because they are all working on individualized skills. The materials ordered, such as journals, folders, and activity centers, will help make sure that each student will get what they need to achieve.
My students and I have an understanding when it comes to entering class on a daily basis. They must come in every day ready and willing to learn. They must also try to accomplish everything that is put in front of them. We think of our classroom as our "Safe Place". They know that they can tell me anything without the fear of being judged.
I have always thought of my students as my kids.
They know that I will accept nothing but their best on a daily basis and in return they know that I will do my best to help them grow socially and academically.
My Project
The materials ordered will help my students become active participants in their education. The sight word activities will help my kids increase their vocabulary but they will also allow them to work at the their own pace, which will ensure their success. The writing activity folders will help them while working on creating their stories. It will help them break down their thoughts and ideas into smaller tasks. I have also ordered some math activities on several levels to allow my students to use their knowledge to answer questions at their own pace. Our classroom would also benefit from plastic containers to help us with organization.
My students are like butterflies because they are each unique and learn in different ways.
My students need a variety of activities to use when learning their daily lessons. As a teacher of learning support students, I know that my class benefits from activities that have many different levels that allow them to go from one stage to another just like a butterfly goes through their cycle of life.
