This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
This year I will be teaching a class of 24 three and four-year-olds. All of them are low-income English Language Learners considered at risk. However, knowing the community where I have been teaching for more than ten years, I believe my kids are eager to begin this exciting new chapter in their lives.
For most of my students this is the beginning of their formal education and I strive to prepare them not only for the next school year but also to make them lifelong independent learners.
My Project
During this pandemic time, students are not allowed to share material; therefore, these materials will allow students to get, at least, one hands-on work station per student to enhance their experiences and learning. The materials will be used by in-perosn students and I will make them available for virtual students as the circumstances allow. The materials will be use during small group instruction. With these items, I will be complementing the individualize plan I have for each student and I will be able to meet their needs at each level.
