Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are special education seventh and eighth grade students who are smart, funny and eager to learn. They complete a lot of individualized and specifically tailored assignments and projects. Everything they complete requires additional paper and printer ink. With your generosity, we will be able to continue working hard and reaching State and Algebra 1 standards.
One design does not fit all, therefore one assignment does not fit all.
My seventh and eighth graders enjoy completing assignments that are modified and tailored to their specific needs. This builds confidence because they can be successful completing such assignments. This also helps them stay motivated and participate in daily lessons. Having these supplies will help me meet the goals on my students IEP’s.
Having a supply of copy paper and printer ink can also help me quickly make adjustments to assignments if I see my students struggling. Teachable moments occur often, and it is essential to always have paper and printer ink so I can help my students on the spur of the moment.
