Individual STEM Bins for an Engaging Morning!

Help me give my students a sense of normalcy as we start the 20-21 school year. Individual Stem Bins will help them start the day in a fun, engaging way.

My Students

Second graders are amazing children. I teach in an area with great families; most have 2 parents that work. We have close to 25 students per classroom. They just want to learn, learn, and learn some more! In the past, we start each day with STEM Bins, where they work together to build/solve problems, however with social distancing I need to create individual stem bins to keep them engaged!

My Project

Morning Stem Bins have been a part of my morning routine; however, with social distancing and not sharing supplies I had to get creative to make individual stem bins. Students will be given a problem to solve and using the materials in their individual bins they can build, create, draw, and write about how they can solve the problem.

Individual Stem Bins will be able to go home with the students if remote/online learning has to take place.

No matter where we learn the STEM Bins will provide them opportunities to use science, technology, engineering, and math to solve problems.
