Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach at a high poverty school where 100% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch! I have high expectations that they will grow and learn beyond what is expected.

School is a safe and happy place for my students.

Each day, they come into the classroom excited about the day and spending time exploring and learning together. For many of my students, being at school is the best part of their day.

My Project

Students will be able to have necessary hands-on learning materials in the classroom or for at home learning. Having supplies for each student will help keep germs to a minimum in the classroom. The book bags will allow the supplies to stay together for each student.

Having lined paper, highlighters, and spacers will allow the students to have some of the basic supplies needed for writing.

During this time (COVID-19)it is hard enough for younger students to understand all that ya going on. Allowing students to have supplies will allow them to enjoy learning from a far or six feet from each other. We can all still have the same supplies no matter where we are.
