We are a small school and I work with students who struggle and need more support. When I work with them in a smaller group they are more successful. They do well when there are hands-on tasks and when we can apply things to real life.
My students are unique and different in their own individual way and I like to celebrate what makes each one of them special.
I'm very lucky that I get to work with these students every day. They brighten my day more than they know.
My Project
These materials will make a difference in my student's lives because they are unique materials that go to each individual student to work on their specific skills and needs. At times if my students are frustrated or need a break these fidgets and calming materials help them to get focused again.
My students will benefit from these games and activities to work on social skills that will help them in school, home, and life situations.
By playing a game they have to follow instructions and learn how to handle when it is not always going their way.
Some of these materials will also help my students with specific math skills. It's easy to get kids engaged when they are doing hands-on engaging activities that this project will fund.
