Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are passionate about science, particularly when it comes to understanding their environment, ecosystem, and the pressing climate crisis we face. They thrive on hands-on learning, and this project will provide them with interactive, engaging labs that deepen their love for science.

The safety goggles and eyewash station are essential for creating a safe and supportive learning environment during our experiments.

By offering two types of goggles, I can ensure that every student feels comfortable and protected, allowing them to fully focus on the inquiry and discovery in our labs. The Happy Sad Balls will help them explore physics concepts like momentum through fun, tactile activities, sparking curiosity and critical thinking. The chemical solutions for our wet lab will introduce students to the fascinating world of biochemistry, as they detect macromolecules in various substances. Finally, the DNA model will allow them to physically manipulate and understand the structure of DNA, making abstract concepts like base-pairing more concrete and accessible.

My goal is to nurture their passion for science through active learning. These materials will help them explore, inquire, and solve real-world problems, preparing them for the future as critical thinkers and environmental stewards.
