This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Each morning, I am greeted by 21 adorable five-year-olds who I believe will one day grow up and have the passion to make the world a better place. I am a kindergarten teacher at an Elementary School that is located in a large urban city. The school that I work at is a Title 1 school, and the student population is very diverse. My students are amazing. They are compassionate, lovable, funny, inquisitive, and energetic. Even though they do not receive some of the same advantages that their peers receive who might attend a wealthier school district would receive, they come to school every day resilient and ready to learn.

My Project

My students would love their own supplies. Many of which I bought for them such as crayons, pencils, scissors, & pencil cases. We used to share everything, but now with COVID-19 sharing is no longer an option.

Some of my students have their own chair bags to hold their supplies, and they love them, but unfortunately I do not have enough for every student since I was blessed with more students than I expected.

Please help me to give my whole class the opportunity to have their own place to store the precious belongings.
